Kimberly Ramsay is the President of NRC Labs, bringing a wealth of experience and leadership to the role. She is responsible for creating, communicating, and implementing the company’s vision and mission. Kimberly oversees all daily activities across the laboratory functions and plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities related to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations. She is adept at solving organizational and departmental problems through effective corrective action plans.
Prior to becoming President, Kimberly served as Vice President of NRC Labs from 2006 to 2023. During her tenure, she played a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. Her leadership in managing employment and employee relations was crucial in maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Kimberly’s career at NRC Labs began in 1993 when she took on the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this capacity, she directed and coordinated the financial activities of the company to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency. Her strategic planning and policy implementation were vital in ensuring continued operations and productivity growth.
In addition to her roles at NRC Labs, Kimberly is actively involved in several professional organizations. She serves as the Board Secretary for the Oregon Environmental Laboratory Association (OELA), the Vice Chair of the Oregon Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ORELAP) Technical Advisory Committee (OTAC), and has been a committee member for various advisory committees, including the ORELAP Rules Advisory Committee (ORELAP RAC) and the Oregon Health Authority Drinking Water Advisory Committee (DWAC). Kimberly also holds leadership positions in national organizations like the American Council of Independent Laboratories where she serves as the Vice Chair of the Environmental Science Section Executive Committee (ACIL ESS).

Vice President
Kyle Grogan has been a dedicated member of NRC Labs since 2007, progressing through a series of technical and leadership roles to his current position as Vice President, a role he assumed in June 2026. As Vice President, Kyle helps guide the strategic direction and continued growth of NRC Labs while maintaining the high standards of service and innovation that clients have come to expect. He provides leadership across the organization, supporting the company’s mission, long-term vision, and commitment to excellence.
Prior to his promotion to Vice President, Kyle served as Laboratory Director from 2010 to 2026, where he was responsible for the overall operation and administration of the laboratory. His responsibilities included managing analytical staff, overseeing laboratory instrumentation, and ensuring adherence to rigorous testing procedures, quality assurance requirements, and data reporting standards. Through his leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence, Kyle played a pivotal role in the growth and success of NRC Labs.
Before joining the executive leadership team, Kyle advanced through several technical and management roles at NRC Labs, including Organic Chemist, Metals Chemist, and Assistant Laboratory Director.
Kyle is actively engaged in the environmental laboratory community. He has served as Board President of the Oregon Environmental Laboratory Association (OELA) since 2020. He is also a Committee Member of the TNI Chemistry Expert Committee, an organization with which he has been involved since 2022.
With nearly two decades of experience in environmental analytical testing, laboratory management, and executive leadership, Kyle brings a deep technical foundation and a commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. His expertise and dedication continue to play a vital role in the continued growth and success of NRC Labs and the advancement of the environmental laboratory profession.
Laboratory Director
Trevor Wasmund is the Laboratory Director at NRC Labs, where he leads laboratory operations and advances the technical excellence, innovation, and customer service that define the organization. In this role, Trevor oversees laboratory performance, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures the delivery of high-quality analytical data and exceptional client service.
Prior to his promotion to Laboratory Director, Trevor served as Technical Manager and Assistant Laboratory Director, where he consistently demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, leadership, and dedication to quality. He played a key role in troubleshooting analytical methods and instrumentation, developing new laboratory capabilities, and driving operational improvements across the organization.
Trevor’s advancement into laboratory leadership began in 2022 with oversight of the Organic Department, where he developed the operational and leadership experience that would lead to subsequent roles as Technical Manager, Assistant Laboratory Director, and ultimately Laboratory Director. He began his career at NRC Labs as an Organic Chemist, where he was responsible for all organic sample preparation and analysis using a variety of analytical techniques and instrumentation.
Trevor’s commitment to operational excellence, technical innovation, and continuous improvement has made a significant impact on NRC Labs and the clients it serves. His leadership and expertise continue to play a vital role in maintaining the laboratory’s reputation for quality, reliability, and scientific excellence.
Director of Quality Systems
Tammy Kreutzer serves as the Director of Quality Systems at NRC Labs, bringing over two decades of expertise in environmental testing and quality management. Since 1999, Tammy has played a pivotal role in implementing and overseeing the company’s rigorous quality systems, ensuring compliance and maintaining Oregon Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ORELAP) accreditation for potable water, non-potable water, and solids. Her career at Neilson Research Corporation began in 1991, where she held diverse roles including Organic Chemist, Inorganic Chemist, Metals Chemist, and Microbiologist, gaining extensive hands-on experience in analytical instrumentation and laboratory procedures.
Tammy’s dedication to excellence extends beyond her daily responsibilities. She actively contributes to industry standards and practices as a Committee Member of the TNI Consumables Committee, a Committee Member of the TNI Asbestos Expert Committee, and Associate Member of the TNI Microbiology Expert Committee, and an Associate Member of the TNI Quality Management Systems Committee. Her commitment to advancing quality assurance in environmental testing underscores her leadership and deep understanding of regulatory compliance.
Director of Project Management
Tamra Schmedemann serves as the Director of Project Management at NRC Labs, where she has been an integral part of the team since 2014. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, Tamra excels in coordinating and managing client projects through all phases of laboratory operations. Her expertise ensures that potential issues are anticipated and resolved swiftly, maintaining the highest standards of client satisfaction.
Since stepping into the role of Director of Project Management in 2017, Tamra has been instrumental in facilitating seamless communication between clients, laboratory staff, and sales teams. Her leadership and strategic planning skills have significantly contributed to the smooth execution of projects and the enhancement of client relationships.
Previously, Tamra served as a Project Manager from 2016 to 2017, where she managed various aspects of client projects, including project setup and communication of analytical issues. Her role also encompassed client account maintenance, reporting, invoicing, and handling bottle orders.
Tamra’s journey with NRC Labs began in 2014 as a Client Services/Accounts Receivable specialist. In this role, she managed client interactions regarding their analytical testing needs, sample reception, and logging into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Additionally, she was responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts receivable.

Director of Personnel
Coni Boyko is an experienced Director of Personnel at Neilson Research Corporation, where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical expertise. In her current role, Coni is responsible for managing laboratory personnel and ensuring seamless coordination across all departments to maintain an efficient workflow.
Previously, Coni served as the Assistant Director of Quality Systems from 2016 to 2018. In this role, she played a key part in implementing and managing quality systems to maintain potable water, non-potable water, and solids ORELAP accreditation. Concurrently, she was the Inorganic Technical Manager, overseeing the inorganic department’s operations and ensuring accurate laboratory procedures and reporting.
From 2014 to 2016, Coni was an Organic Chemist at Neilson Research Corporation, where she performed routine laboratory preparation procedures for water and soil samples. She skillfully operated analytical instruments such as GC-ECD, GC-FID, and GC-MS. Earlier in her career, from 2009 to 2014, Coni worked as an Inorganic Analyst, analyzing water and soil samples using various methods, including UV-VIS, SFA, gravimetric, and titration.
